Although I've never been to Israel, accounts belying the alleged equality of Israeli Arabs are pretty consistent, & all too common. Still, Bashi is a bit unclear: her husband is an Israeli-Arab, a citizen. She mentions having healthcare, does he not also? His mother, as a Palestinian & non-citizen being restricted isn't necessarily apartheid. There seems to be an implication that there are areas in Israel Bashi's husband can't access because he isn't Jewish, but my question there is how would anyone know his religion? My understanding is that passports & state-issued IDs don't show religion.

Anecdotally, I've heard from religious Israelis that they value Arab/Muslim cab drivers because should require a cab on shabbos an Arab driver is preferred because it's assur to cause another Jew to desecrate shabbos.

Finally, small correction: Herod built the Second Temple; it was Titus who burned it down during the sack of Jerusalem.
