"Another unarmed black man" ... killed by police. Yes. It happens, far too often. Many of the names you list are tragedies & crimes, & so I support BLM in demanding justice for Taylor, & Martin, & Floyd to name just a few. I don't care about Floyd's history, or what Martin had in his pockets.

But I took two names from your list, not entirely at random, they were names I hadn't heard before. I looked up the cases. Lewis Ruffin & Donald Ward. Both were armed, according to police, & this is supported by either video records or eyewitness testimony. Both constituted legitimate threats either to officers or to whomever sought their help.

How many other, unfamiliar names will consist of armed individuals who threatened cops or the public?

Your list is evidence other either dishonesty or laziness on your part. When you include cases such as Ward's or Ruffin's you just provide ammunition to those on the right who insist BLM exists only to support black criminals.

Of course police shootings are common here & will continue to be as long as the general public has access to every sort of firearm. Some might claim this is a reasonable trade. I'll leave that argument to others.
