Are we really using "alum" now for singular, rather than "alumnus"?

And "alums" for plural over "alumni"?

I'd like to think you realize his thesis "begs the question" (that Palestinians are losing support) in its original meaning rather than how I hear the phrase used now: that is to suggest another question.

And yes, by the way, I don't see Palestinians losing support among college-age. And, sadly, much support for Palestinians has morphed into support for Hamas, as in the old days when students chanted that Ho Chi Minh was going to win.

Hamas put the bodies of the Palestinian people on the firing line, knowing how Bibi would respond, had to respond. They did it without their foreknowledge or consent.

But then the IDF killed those food aid workers, on the pretext an "armed Hamas gunman" was somehow present. We're left to conclude either the IDF is reckless & incompetent with some very deadly weapons, or they intentionally targeted those workers in order to stifle aid flowing into Gaza.
