And if we're to include 3 million Bengali victims of his policies in India, where do put the millions he saved by keeping Great Britain in the war against Nazism?
I think people have come to realize that Churchill made terrible mistakes, particularly in India & Africa. Mistakes that cannot be excused by resorting to milieu.
But, which leaders or people of prominence can pass muster? If we look close enough we usually find aspects of their lives or personalities that don't appeal.
