DeSantis's presence in the body politic is both parts outrage & humiliation. But the US has never had a shortage of whack doodle governors, e.g. Rod Blagojevich, Orville Boggs (ordered extermination of Mormons), & some that get uncomfortably close to the White House like George Wallace.
