Doesn't this beg the question that success for people of color somehow requires ethical compromises on their part?
I get what you're saying about college loans. After all, it's been shown that identical resumes from an obviously white vs. black candidate will generate more responses from the former. When I pointed this out to a far right loonie acquaintance, she declared: Well, of course! What company wants to hire someone who wears his trousers down to the knees & speaks in ways no one can understand?!?
Not even taking into account that these were identical resumes, i.e. college graduates with good grades. Sad.
