Funny, I happened to watch DI not long ago. A classic example of Hollywood's tendency to shepherd dual productions, sometimes with deep, sometimes superficial similarities. DI lacked the star power of Armageddon, not to mention the slo-mo march forward of the heroic drilling crew (brilliantly spoofed in "Pearl Harbor II: Pearlmageddon"), but, by far a more realistic vision of how the ol' meteor/comet-hitting-Earth scenario might play out. Not sure I see it a cult classic, however.
