Gosh, I wish I’d had the balls to go & introduce myself to Roger Corman, offer to work for free (something I doubt he’d be able to refuse) & get into that milieu.

I don’t know if I agree that Tarantino’s films are narratively a mess, maybe, but gosh yes, good point about the dialogue. Especially Kill Bill, which is maybe one pretty good picture without some really clever but ultimately extraneous dialogue.

And Cameron, hasn’t be become a victim of his own success? Going from Titanic to the massively expensive, but utterly banal Avatar, & thence, what? A bunch of Avatar sequels? Pity.
