I didn't know that about Ben-Gurion. And you're right, he was no dove. He implemented Plan Dalet to seize land beyond the UN partition, & was also responsible for Operation Black Arrow, which forever alienated Nasser. If he believed the territories not be settled, that tells us a lot.
