I didn't like that scene in Munich, either. What did they expect, no pushback from the people they were targeting? I won't watch it again for that reason.

Still, I don't believe we abuse our success. Jews are overrepresented in media because in the days of restrictions & gentlemen's agreements the slightly disreputable business of cinema was open to us. We built Hollywood, created all but one major studio.

Today things are very different. Far more democratic in terms of culture, religion, background, as the means to make media become far more widespread. Cohen makes fun of WASPs & WASP culture primarily. They are far, far from being the other 98% these days. And if they want to push back, give us a taste of our own medicine they can fund another Woody Allen film.

And Cohen, incidentally, is a Brit, so I don't see why Americans would hold his films against American Jews.

Finally, if I read you correctly, you seem to be saying that the more Israel abuses US aid the more vital to Jews in diaspora it becomes as the world prepares to "respond".
