I don't disagree. The issue was certainly racial for the Nazis. They even regarded Poles as inferior, when Poles probably have a larger proportion of idealized blond hair & blue eyes. I see Whoopi as not that different from Captain Kirk in that episode of Star Trek, remember, when Frank Gorshin played a character whose face was half black & half white; he's chasing another who appears identical to both the crew & viewers at home. When they ask Gorshin's character what problem he has with the other, he yells: "Can't you see? He's black on the other side!"

I think that's how many Americans view Nazi Rassenhass.
