I don't think Iranian nuclear capabilities, which it is widely agreed, are not yet deployable whatever their state of development, constitute the greatest danger to Israel. Rather its conventional missile & drone force, which it can deploy at minimal cost but which will severely strain Israel's ability to continue defending against, seem like the greater danger. Then its proxies in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, not to mention its own military ... all of this is way more than Israel can take on without help.

At least that's how things seem from this remove. It's just not the time to widen the war, to engage more enemies. It's way past time for Bibi to wind things down & face the music domestically.
