I have to jump in here because I've read other of Sitta's work & found it informative, especially his revelation of Haganah/IDF attempts at bacteriologic war in '47/'48. This particular article, however, leaves the impression that all the "brave young people" did on 7 Oct was "go home". As though no killing on their part ensued.
He lists massacres & alleged massacres of Palestinians. Atrocities were committed, especially by the Lehi & Irgun militias. But they were not as one-sided as his article implies. Jews were also massacred by Arab units, e.g. the Hadassah convoy.
His cousin was killed by a mine, but w/o comment on its origin.
Finally, he declares reports of rape & sexual violence on 7 Oct to be categorically false. Sadly, that is not so.
