I realize this has become a standpoint of woke activism, but I believe there must be objective criteria all can apply & understand. E.g. some declare any & all criticism of Israeli policies & tactics to be antisemitic. Others claim statements of Jewish predominance in some particular industry, e.g. film & TV, or the diamond trade, to akin to blood libel. If we allow the most extreme individuals of any minority to define bigotry pretty soon we'd all be guilty & have to shut up. Permanently.

Sarandon said a stupid thing. She has since apologized. Is there any reason to believe her apology was not sincere? Is there any reason for us not to accept it?

Personally I don't know her. So being nice to her is not an issue for me. If you do know her then you'll have decide on your own whether to keep her name on your holiday greeting list, or not.
