I think most reasonable people would interpret Chauvin's nonchalance at being recorded in the act as prima facie evidence of racism. Sure, he might have had a history with Floyd & not particularly care that Floyd was Black. But had Floyd been white I think it's fair to assume Chauvin would be more circumspect in his actions.

I agree with those who say a conservative like Shapiro probably doesn't care that much. Another problem with the right is their tendency to interpret "racism" as a synonym for racial prejudice or bigotry.

Even if Chauvin's social media history suggests he likes Black people & people of color, believing he can strangle a man in public while being recorded & face no consequences because of the man's race is a quintessential definition of racism.
