I think there are several contradictions in current law enforcement. E.g. police work has become much less dangerous over the years. One would think that would help cops be less aggressive with the public. But part of what has made it safer is shifting much of its inherent risk onto the public. e.g. dynamic entry raids.
Then of course you have the issue of police policing police, which is ultimately absurd on the face of it.
And qualified immunity? I see some courts appear to wish it gone. What I don't understand is that if courts created it, why can't they uncreate it?
