I'll be the first to agree that American Jews, by & large, benefit from white privilege. I also think Whoopi's comment isn't particularly ignorant nor deserving of criticism, much less suspension. She views race in a particularly American way. Nothing wrong with that.

Yet, doesn't it beg the question to assume that reaction to her comments is because she's a black woman?
