I'll check out the interview. But I know Wayne had many controversial, far right opinions (though he did break with Reagan & other right-wingers over the Panama Canal transfer). Yet his impact was as an actor. One who made many fine films, & in so doing contributed greatly to Hollywood's rise as the film capital of the US. It seems wrong to penalize his memory because of opinions he held or expressed.
