Incidentally, & not to be overly cynical, but it almost seems as though the authorities had an ulterior motive in evacuating Gaza: that is to demonstrate both to the Israeli public & the world at large how utterly impossible it would be to evacuate the West Bank in a similar manner. That any such attempt would be Waco or Ruby Ridge x 1000.
