I've seen Birth of a Nation some years ago, but that clip gives me an idea for an article: How the Jan 6 rioters finally achieved DW Griffith's vision of yahoos taking over Congressional chambers. The irony of how it took place, & by whom, is delicious ... almost as yummy as Roscoe's Fried Chicken & Waffles.
