Nice work, homes. Though I had to leave LA in '94 I was born & raised there. One afternoon, around early '91 I was sitting at a Hollywood Bl cafe when Lawrence Tierney (Larry from Resevoir Dogs, & a long career before that) came by carrying a six pack of beer. He sat a few tables away from me. I was with my baby son at the time. "Want a beer?" he called over. I said no thanks at first. A few minutes later, after chatting with the proprietor, he asked again. Guess he really wants me to have a beer. So I accepted & moved over to his table. He introduced himself (this was a few months before Resevoir Dogs came out), said he was an actor. I told him I knew, recognized him from Tough Guys Don't Dance. He seemed pleased. I told him how much I enjoyed the final lines from that movie, which he had recited. He then repeated them verbatim.
For a guy who supposedly drank heavy & damaged his career more than once in so doing, he seemed to have a pretty good memory. Nice guy, too.
Saw many other celebrities, too over the years. Especially Canters after hours. But it was cool to see one on Hollywood Bl.
