At risk of being called a mansplainer, I think you neglect the fact that the people who make the pertinent decisions here do so from ivory towers far, far away. They don’t see what you see. If men are permitted to bring in backpacks to the same event, you might have a point. But I guarantee whomever formulated the purse/bag ban never considered cargo pockets.

I know that because I’ve spent much of my working life guided by dictates from people who have no idea what is actually happening on the ground floor.

So thanks, I guess, for not raising hell in front of people who have no authority to change the policy, bad attitudes notwithstanding.

Why don’t designers create clothing for women with better pockets? Is it a law thing? Or do they not sell?
