No. I don't think Lewis is trying to dupe anyone. His writing reflects the age in which he lives. Sure, there are authors who presented people from Asia & the southern hemisphere in more sympathetic lights & it's fine for kids to read their works, too. But you, evidently read Narnia while younger & don't appear to hold raging attitudes towards darker skinned folks or Muslims. Were you really that much smarter than your peers?
