Sorry, I don't understand your point of contention with Takei. Ukrainians are fighting to avoid being consumed, once more, by Russia. They need weapons, ammunition. War, it's a terrible thing, yes. But what alternative do they have? Obviously Takei's suggestion isn't going to be acted upon.

As for Goldberg, I've written about her comment. Didn't see much wrong with it—though it is incorrect. American Jews have struggled for generations to be viewed as just standard white folks. Must we now complain when we succeed?
