Sounds wonderful. I've always wanted to see Spain. Prolly never will. We moved upstate from NYC, after having lived our entire lives in either LA or NYC. I miss LA like mad, but the cost of living in either city is beyond insane. There's a little bit of what you write about here in the Catskills. Our three bedroom house right on the river cost $80k. We're semi-retired, have no debt, but I'm still scared about what might happen wrt healthcare debt.

One question: You say you're EU citizens, does that mean you've relinquished your US citizenship, or is that in addition to it?
