Thank you for pointing these inconvenient (for some) facts out. I hate jumping in myself because first, it seems as though I'm defending Woody, when actually I don't know what, if anything, really happened; & secondly the issue is secondary to the subject of this particular essay. But, wouldn't you know it, some folks just have to jump in with the daughter/step-daughter/adoptive daughter thing ... & the misinformation continues to flow.

Frankly, I don't think there's anything someone like Mia Farrow could do that would be regarded as "correct" in this context.
