Thanks for writing this, I had not heard of the case. This is beyond outrageous. There is no reasonable argument that the cops were doing anything more than sadistically humliating the girl. Only a damned fool would believe they had any serious concern about contraband in her sanitary napkin. I hope the girl & family sue the relevant authorities & cops back into Roman Britain or some damned thing.
