That makes sense. I tinkered with my '13 Electra Glide, having ridden it cross-country a couple times. Put in a tall-boy saddle, back rest, highway pegs, extended floorboards, swapped out the clutch, & substituted Progressive cartridges for the front shocks. All good. I still had some vibration at highway speeds after I had Michelin Commander IIIs put on at Sturgis. When I asked had they balanced the wheel they insisted they had put balancing beads in each. Short while later I shredded the front tire after my front fender came loose & fell on it. I took the tire off myself. No beads. I replaced it with another Michelin. Balanced it myself. No more highway vibration.

The one thing, however, was I figured extended (not quite apes) handlebars would make long-distance riding more comfortable. But the HD's are wired. So swapping them out is a big deal. I held off because if it didn't work out it would have been a huge job to switch back. It never occurred to me (duh!!) that greater length of course entailed more vibration.

So, thanks to you I'll stand pat & stop fretting about it.

Great piece.
