That must have been a powerful moment. I see how it would leave a lasting impression.
Unfortunately Biden can't seem to find a better way forward with Israel than to support Netanyahu's ghastly purge of Gaza. Hamas's cynicism in putting their own people on the firing line is matched by Israel's in permitting it to happen, for pretext.
Our leadership needs to get ahead of that, to slow Israel down, support a covert program of assassinating Hamas leadership, & back to the bargaining table in a serious manner. But Israel has no partner. Abbas & the PA aren't taken seriously, & how can Israel deal with Hamas?
That said, people have to understand that sabotaging Biden for a third-party candidate or staying home on Election Day brings Trump back. And he'll do what for the Palestinian people?
We might urge the Democrats to find someone younger, more dynamic & visionary that Biden to run, but how would we displace Biden unless he's willing to go?
More & more 7 Oct reminds me of Tet, how it, along with Republican treason at sabotaging peace talks, led to LBJ stepping down in ultimate favor of Nixon.
Is history repeating itself?
