There's more at stake here for BLM than just police brutality. There's the issue of alleged over-policing of minority neighborhoods. Police protect them, yes, but at the cost of mainly black men being put into the system for transgressions that go largely unnoticed in white-majority areas. Once you're in the system many opportunities in employment, education & housing become severely limited.
