This begs the question that Dances & Glory promote white supremacy. But you haven't made your case that they do. No screenplay introducing the 54th Mass to general audiences would be correct or fair not to include Col. Shaw as one principal character (did you know, eg. that it was Shaw, not pvt Trip who persuaded the men to refuse their wages until Congress agreed to equal pay?). And Matthew Broderick? A perfect casting choice for Shaw.
Dances? Just a rather long-winded entertainment that also introduced a good number of talented Native/Indian actors to a public that might not otherwise have seen their work.
The Patriot ... you can have that one. I haven't seen it, so can't comment.
