To answer your questions: I was referring to the Nebi Musa, Jaffa & Hebron riots that began while Muslims were still by far a minority. As I pointed out, the Palestinians weren't entirely w/o cause, but that history does leave one skeptical of the possibilities of a unitary, binational state going forward.

Why not equal partners? Because demography is destiny, & it's hard to see how a binational state would ever retain approximate numbers. Palestinians would be likely to exercise their right of return, while Jews have no particular reason to immigrate to Israel/Palestine.
