Few recall that the Yom Kippur War (with Dayan's hysterical allusion to the Second Temple's destruction) was entered into with limited aims by Egypt & Syria. (And virtually no one recalls that King Hussein warned Golda Meir of the forthcoming assault). I didn't realize Israel was so closely involved with Christian-Phalangists in Lebanon. Well done.
