Well lessee, when he called Senator Tammy Duckworth a "coward" for not coming on his show, in spite of Duckworth having lost her legs in combat during a period in US military history when a woman had to try really hard to get into combat roles, while Carlson himself has never served at all ... that speaks volumes. It tells us that the hard right's embrace of patriotism (or "nationalism" as Mr. Trump in his utterly ignorant manner now holds) is strictly opportunistic.
