Not sure what incident you're referring to there. Palestinians assassinated Jordan's first king, & tried more than once to kill its third. Palestinians fought a civil war in Jordan while the West Bank was still annexed to Jordan.

No. It was a conquest. And, yes, I would compare it, in some regards, to Israeli colonization of the West Bank.

Israel never returned the West Bank to Jordan.
