Where did Hamas come from?

“Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel’s creation,” Avner Cohen, a former Israeli religious affairs official who worked in Gaza for more than two decades, told the Wall Street Journal in 2009. Back in the mid-1980s, Cohen even wrote an official report to his superiors warning them not to play divide-and-rule in the Occupied Territories, by backing Palestinian Islamists against Palestinian secularists. “I … suggest focusing our efforts on finding ways to break up this monster before this reality jumps in our face,” he wrote.

And how certain are we they're not also hungry at this point?

It's entirely possible to condemn Hamas's 7 Oct atrocities while also criticizing Israel's reaction to it. Which side gains international's sympathy & support, & which side becomes increasingly condemned & isolated?

Why is Netanyahu still in power?

Why are West Bank settlers permitted to terrorize & abuse their Palestinian neighbors?

What is the IDF's goal in Gaza & what criteria will demonstrate its completion?

Here, in the US at least, there is more than selective outrage at play, because Israel would not have the capacity to wreak havoc in Gaza w/o US support.
