While I'm definitely calling bullshit on Rittenhouse's claim to be on-hand with his AR to provide medical aid—he was looking for action—I don't think you can compare him with Tamir Rice. Police know, after all, that most active shooters are white males. So in that case Rittenhouse's whiteness wouldn't protect him. If they ignored him it is more likely because they had adopted a passive mode, or had other fish to fry right then.

Certainly the judge & jury were disposed in his favor. I don't, incidentally, believe his tears were fake. I don't think he could have anticipated the weight of killing other human beings, or now the stain of notoriety he'll carry for the rest of his life.
